Cope president Mosiuoa Lekota says he is confident his party will do well in the upcoming national elections

There are a lot of surprises in store for South Africans in next month’s national elections, Congress of the People (Cope) leader Mosiuoa Lekota assures City Press. Well, the first surprise was Lekota’s arrival for this pre-election sit-down all by himself. While other parties that have been to our offices in Randburg had entourages of between four and seven people, Lekota was a lone ranger.
When asked why he came alone, he asked sarcastically: “I am here and talking to you now; who else did you expect?”
