Energy costs ‘dominates’ US polls

Energy costs “dominates the polls” and “overshadows everything else“ in the United States, says The Australian’s Adam Creighton.

Mr Creighton said issues such as abortion rights and gun violence have not “cut through” in the way expected by Democrats.

“People are concerned about prices,” he told Sky News Australia.

“It is quite a shock … it’s essentially the biggest fall in living standards in almost half a century in the US.”
