Everton will lock horns with Fleetwood Town at Highbury Stadium this Tuesday night as they looked to earn a victory and secure a spot in the next round of the EFL Cup. The Toffees were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest recently, so they will be eager to get a positive result in midweek.
Frank Lampard will set his team up in a 3-4-3 formation and could make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Both Asmir Begovic and Michael Keane are expected to play from the start in this cut game on the road.

Defence
As mentioned earlier, Asmir Begovic will operate in between the sticks for the Toffees as he hopes to give a good account of himself in midweek. Lampard could choose to name a back three of Michael Keane, Conor Coady and Mason Holgate. The defensive trio would try to keep things tidy at the back and secure a clean sheet away from home.
James Tarkowski will be rested on the bench as he provided cover for the defensive positions.
Goodison Park
Midfield
Allan and Amadou Onana will anchor the midfield for Everton as they look to dominate the battle at the centre of the park. Ruben Vinagre will fill in as the left wing-back while Seamus Coleman focused on putting in another tireless shift on the right flank. Both Everton wing-backs need to figure out a way to make a few overlapping runs out on the flanks.
Nathan Patterson, Alex Iwobi and Tom Davies will drop to the bench but could come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Dwight McNeil will try to impress as the left-sided winger while Dele Alli gets a rare start on the right. The English playmaker has been on the fringes of Everton’s match-day squad, so this could be a good chance for him to catch the eye in the final third.
Salomon Rondon will once again lead the charge for the Merseyside club up top. He will have to carry most of the goal-scoring burden on the attacking end of the pitch.
Both Anthony Gordon and Demarai Gray will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to impress in the latter stages of the contest if Frank Lampard decided to call upon their services.
