Former Blazer Jeenathan Williams is signing a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Rockets, his agent Billy Davis of Family of Athletes Sports Group tells Sideline Sources’ Wenzell Ortiz.
The 24-year-old played five games with Portland to end the 2022-2023 campaign. Despite a transient stint with the team, though, Williams showed promise. In 25.3 minutes per contest, he averaged 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. Moreover, he displayed defensive versatility.
Prior to suiting up for the Trailblazers, Williams played for the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G League. He averaged 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
