In particular, many smaller cities have these discounted flights, so, for example, if you live nearby Savannah, Georgia or Reno, Nevada, then you’re in luck. Almost all the flights in this deal include at least one layover.

We recommend using Google Flights for finding your best dates and then booking your flights directly through the airline’s website. Airlines are more dependable if your flight faces a cancellation, delay or booking change.

One of the best parts of this deal is that it’s a discount on premium economy seats — most of the deals we’ve typically flagged are for economy or basic economy, so at least this time, you can fly to Istanbul with some comfort and at a sizeable discount.

The cheapest options for a Feb. 10 flight to Istanbul from New York City’s JFK are the two Delta and Air France flights. One flight leaves New York City at 7:30 p.m., and the other at 9:30 p.m. Both include a layover in Paris (CDG), so making a choice is just a matter of preference.

For flying back to New York City on Feb. 17, Delta and Air France present two early morning options that depart Istanbul at 7:25 a.m. One of the flights is two hours longer than the other due to a longer layover in Paris.

Air France operates the flights from Paris to Istanbul and from Istanbul to Paris. Delta operates the other two flights from New York City to Istanbul and Paris to New York for the round-trip.

Delta’s Premium Select fare gives passengers free seat selection, premium seats, free flight changes, a free carry-on and two free checked bags. Premium seats recline, along with having more legroom, an adjustable footrest and larger seatback screens.
