Grant Margeman is running out of time to convince Mamelodi Sundowns that he can cut it at the defending champions.
The midfielder has been tireless in his work in the middle for SuperSport United where he is on loan for the season. This comes after he was unable to convince the Brazilians that he would get enough game time during the ongoing campaign.

I’m improving – Margeman
“Sometimes as a player when you get loaned out, you feel you are not good enough to be part of that current squad. But since I have joined SuperSport, it has been a good move for me,” said Margeman, as reported by Phakaaathi.
“Being part of a club like SuperSport, who are able to compete, that helps me improve my game,” added the Sundowns player, who will see his loan move end at the end of the season.

Margeman is hoping that he can impress Sundowns by helping SuperSport United this season.
Leaving Sundowns was a step back
“Sometimes you have to take a step back in order to take two steps forward. At the beginning of the season I took it as a step back but also as an opportunity to showcase my talent and my abilities somewhere else.”
Once a budding player at international level, Margeman was overlooked by Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos for his final squad to play Liberia in home and away Africa Cup of Nations 2023 qualifiers.
“I won’t lie, I am feeling a little bit disappointed because it’s every player’s dream to feature for their nation.
“I will continue to put in the work for my club and I draw motivation from the fact that I was in the preliminary team,” Margeman said.
