I’ve heard of red giants and white dwarfs. So what term shall we coin for Miss Billie’s starry eyes – orange whoppers?
Here we are on history’s second Matariki public holiday. Where I live, there have been a lot of events held to mark the event, including a night market, a pool party, concerts and star-themed activities for kids.
I’m happy to see all the gatherings and goings-on as people get used to this celebration. To me it makes sense that it has a “new year” spirit – a bit of thoughtfulness and optimism in the deep midwinter.
Last year, with the first Matariki holiday, I put together a star-related Furry Friday collection. Since we’re all making new traditions, here’s the second Matariki Furry Friday, with a lineup of pets with stars in their eyes. Enjoy the pets, and the day!
Thanks to all for submitting photos. Please email me your own pet photos, or message me via the Four Legs Good Facebook page. Help keep Furry Friday free of embarrassing mistakes by remembering to include your pet’s name, and its sex if it’s not obvious!
