A patched gang member has been arrested in South Auckland after drugs and a loaded gun were found in searches.
Police said a member of the Head Hunters Gang was observed travelling through Manukau, with the car stopping at a property in Randwick Park.
Officers searched the vehicle with the help of the Armed Offenders Squad and found a large quantity of methamphetamine, acting detective senior sergeant Rob Hunkin of Counties Manukau CIB said.
The address the person came from was also searched and a loaded firearm, ammunition and a large quantity of cash was located, he said.
The 35-year-old man was charged with possession and supply of methamphetamine, and was expected to appear in Manukau District Court on Tuesday.
Police were not ruling out further charges.
