Giannis Antetokounmpo thinks he deserves the Larry O’Brien Award and is willing to give everything for it. He’s a Milwaukee Buck, but the moment his team limits him from getting the award, he might move on to greener pastures.
Antetokounmpo wants the Larry O’Brien Award
Nothing is stopping the power forward from getting his hands on the trophy and the ring. He won’t even let his team stop him.
In an interview with 48 Minutes, he claims he’s willing to continue playing with the Bucks until the end of his career. However, the second-best NBA player has conditions should the team want him to stay.
“As long as we play and we approach the game every single day the right way, and we all sacrifice for the common goal, I can see myself being in Milkwaukee Bucks for the rest of my career.”

The two-time MVP emphasizes that teamwork and sacrifice are must-haves for his team. He wants people as committed as he is and will not settle for anything else.
“The moment I feel like people are not [as] committed as I am to get that golden thing in the back [2021 Larry O’Brien trophy] I am not [staying].”

The Bucks player doesn’t want fans to get his story twisted. He is loyal to the team, but he’s also looking out for himself. The All-Star is going on his 11th season, and he wants rings to show for it.
“I am a Milwaukee Buck, but most importanly I’m a winner. I have to do whatever it takes for me to win. If there’s a better situation for me to win the Larry O’Brien, I have to take that better situation.”

The 28-year-old led his team to the championship in 2021 with a playoff average of 30.2 points, 12.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists. With these numbers, he can make as many demands as he wants. Despite being drafted by the Bucks and staying with them for 10 years, that could change if he sees any unmotivated players.
antetokounmpo has fans begging for him
While some fans point out that he’s changing his stances a lot, from being loyal to getting cold feet, other fans claim that he deserves to be on an excellent team to get the championship wins.
Other fans lightheartedly beg him to join their favorites, be it the Warriors, Lakers, or Clippers. Time will tell if his next season will be a win and if he’ll stay in Milwaukee.
Should Antetokounmpo remain with the Bucks even if it seems like a losing gamble?
