As the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in Côte d’Ivoire this weekend, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have been assured of unwavering support, both from home and far away in Cote d’Ivoire.
Nigerian Breweries Plc, through its brands –Goldberg, Life Continental Beer, and Zagg Energy Malt drink – is playing crucial roles in galvanizing millions of Nigerian football fans and consumers to stand with the Super Eagles during the qualification series.
Now, the brands are ready to go the extra mile to help the national team secure a fourth title following previous successes in the 1980, 1994, and 2013 editions.
Head of Communications – Marketing, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sandra Amachree, hinted that a series of initiatives have been designed to ensure that brands’ loyal customers and passionate football fans enjoy a memorable AFCON experience, cheering on the Super Eagles wherever they are in the world. “We’re geared up for the tournament,” declared Amachree. “Whether you’re in Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, or anywhere else, the mission remains the same: to provide the Super Eagles with maximum support as they chase their fourth title at this year’s tournament.”

The Super Eagles’ campaign begins on Sunday with a tricky encounter against Equatorial Guinea before other games against hosts, Cote D’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau.
“It’s vital that we hit the ground running from the very first game and avoid putting ourselves in a difficult position. We know the Super Eagles are ready to make us proud, and we are prepared to give them the maximum backing they need to soar high in Côte d’Ivoire,” she pointed out.
Nigerian Breweries, as one of the longest financial and moral backers of the Nigerian Football Federation since February 1st 2018, will be involved in several national activations where fans can enjoy the AFCON tournament at numerous outlets and bars.
