The Harry Potter film franchise is still a hit with families more than 20 years after it was released, and it’s easy to see why.
The films are fun, magical (obviously) and above all wholesome – teaching generations of kids the difference between right and wrong.
Although, hidden within the saga there are a few knowing nods to the adults in the room including a notorious ‘sex scene’ that ended up being cut from the fourth film: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The scene in question takes place during the Triwizard Ball where all the different schools are converging and having fun together.
And it wouldn’t be a British disco (Hogwarts counts as a British school) without a heavy dose of heavy petting thrown into the mix.
As Harry leaves the Great Hall, he dodges two couples up to no good.
Harry discovers the first pair canoodling against a wall and is swiftly told to move on.
He then chances upon a rocking carriage and peeks inside (he’s clearly never seen Titanic) only to be told once again to sling his hook.
You can watch the thankfully un-graphic scene here.
In the comments, legions of Potterheads descended to debate why the scene was cut.
One said: “So for anyone asking, if you own the movies or have seen it on anything in the recent decade it’s a deleted scene.
“Other programs may still have the old copy but as of late this is no longer a part of the movie and when they were having sex, Severus opens up two carriages from the one we saw at the beginning.”
