Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Dean Henderson will start tomorrow’s FA Cup clash against Fulham.
Number two Matt Turner, who is on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest, had started every round prior to Saturday’s trip at Craven Cottage.
The USA keeper had kept two clean sheets in the first two rounds, but Glasner confirmed he will lose his cup starting spot in place of regular number one Henderson.
“I talked with both goalkeepers today,” said Glasner.
“I made the decision that Dean will start tomorrow.
“On one side, it was a tough decision, but on the other side, it was a very good one for me to take.
“To choose between two great goalkeepers that everybody has 100 per cent confidence and trust in.
“But I decided that Dean is our number one. He has played most of the games.
“We haven’t had a game for three weeks so I don’t want to change this.
“This is why he will start tomorrow.”
