Exclusive data from the Department of Customer Service shows 27 per cent of NSW residents aren’t comfortable at all accessing financial support compared to 16 per cent who are.
Feelings of shame and guilt, discomfort around talking about money or preferring to manage it themselves are key barriers to reaching out.
As the cost of living creates pressure on family budgets, seeking support from the NSW Government has never been more crucial.
