Dubai Mall for shopping
The Dubai Mall is in one word, huge. There are more than 1200 stores and over 200 places to eat. And of course, it’s air-conditioned so a good way to escape the heat of the late afternoon. Head to the Nike store for the best views out over the famous fountain show without the crowds. The show runs every 30 minutes after 6pm, with the most popular viewing point being at one of the outdoor restaurants around it. Once you’ve finished your retail therapy, pop into the bookstore Kinokuniya and grab some books on Dubai and the Middle East history, it’s fascinating.
