Former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp believes that Arsenal will be victorious this time around by winning the Premier League title having narrowly missed out to ManChester City in the past two seasons.
Interestingly, the pundit didn’t even give Liverpool a mention – perhaps not convinced that Slot can challenge in his first campaign.
Redknapp said: “I fancy Arsenal this year. I just think Arsenal look like they are getting one or two new faces coming in to strengthen the squad even more – they’ve been so close the last couple of years.
“I mean Man City have just been incredible haven’t they, for me they’ve been the best team not only in the Premier League but in the world – the last four or five years they’ve been unbelievable.
“But I just get a feeling about Arsenal this year, and I know Spurs fans wouldn’t like that, but I’ve got a feeling Arsenal could win it this year.”
The Gunners continued their preparations ahead of the new season with a comfortable 4-1 win against Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
