Super Falcons skipper Onome Ebi has hit back at her critiques saying she will continue to play until she is tired.
The 39-year-old defender is the oldest player at the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations as she is playing in her 5th WAFCON tournament.
Onome Ebi who has been one of Super Falcons weaklings as she is often beaten for her lack of pace is adamant no one can force her out of the team.
While Nigeria have had it easy against Botswana and Burundi, they were second best in their first group game against South Africa.
Onome Ebi who was beaten with ease disrupted the shape of the Super Falcons defence as other defenders had to cover for her.
But she has said as long as her body is good she will continue to play.
“Super Falcons is not an underage team, I will keep playing so far I’m fit and my body can still play.
“I don’t listen to criticism over my age, when I am tired, I will stop. For now, I’m enjoying the game.”
Onome Ebi and Super Falcons will be faced with a test on Thursday when they play Cameroon in the tournament’s quarter-final.
