The Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd was asked about the advantages he sees by playing two bigs together, as the team had done for much of their win over the San Antonio Spurs:
“I think you look at being able to do that tonight with the two bigs starting. We just have that luxury with the way the roster is with the bigs that I have. I have quite a few of them. … Against teams that are bigger, sometimes you want to go smaller so you can use your speed or your shooting to put the pressure on them.
“With the bigs that we have when you talk about Maxi [Kleber] and C Wood [Christian Wood], they can shoot the 3, they can play inside and out, and both of them can guard the five or the four. That gives us the luxury to be able to play those two with a center or those two together.”
