JOLT announces two senior appointments to NZ sales team

EV charging and digital out of home network JOLT has announced two senior appointments in its New Zealand sales team.

Stephen Douglas and Matt Webb have been appointed as group sales managers. Douglas will lead the Wellington and national sales operations, while Webb will focus on Auckland and Christchurch.

Empowering brands to connect

Douglas is an experienced business development leader, with expertise in media, strategy and revenue growth. He joins JOLT from news media company Stuff, where he was the national business director, overseeing the OMG and dentsu media agencies and government and education accounts.

Prior to this, Douglas spent more than a decade at Viacom in the UK as an international account director, managing international clients, media agencies and government departments, along with identifying new tourism clients for event-based marketing partnerships.

During his time at Viacom, he also undertook a five-month secondment to the New York team, acting as vice president for international marketing partnerships developing customised sales solutions for key international accounts based in the US. He has also worked in senior account roles at TVNZ, Fairfax and nzoom.com.

Sparking change

Webb brings nearly 20 years’ sales experience to JOLT across both agency and client side. He comes to JOLT from Sport Nation and the Sports Entertainment Network, where he was the senior commercial manager. Prior to this, he spent nearly a decade at Val Morgan as group sales manager, following roles as a senior account manager at oOh!media and as a media consultant at Fairfax.

Major milestone

JOLT New Zealand country manager Chris Monaghan says bringing Douglas and Webb on board is a major milestone for the company.

“Their combined strategic, business and sales expertise will be instrumental in helping us scale our network and deepen our advertising partnerships. Both bring significant experience in media sales and client partnerships to our business. And as we continue to grow across the country, the strength of our people is what will set us apart.”

JOLT ANZ general manager of regional sales Carin Lee-Skelton adds: “This is an exciting next phase for JOLT New Zealand. Steve and Matt’s appointments are a critical part of our ANZ expansion strategy, reflecting our investment in both infrastructure and the local talent that will drive long-term success for our clients and communities.”

Douglas and Webb will report to Monaghan and both appointments are effective immediately.
