What are three services that are unique to you?
“I specialize in retirement income and tax planning. I also do business-value building and exit planning to help maximize business value and make a smooth transition from business owner to a life of time and money freedom.”
Why did you become a planner?
“My real start in financial planning happened when I was 15 years old. My father, who also works in the industry, came home from work one night around the height of the dot-com crash, after he’d just spoken to a client. She was in her mid-70s and she called to let him know that the great advice he’d given her was allowing her to sleep at night. At that early age, I recognized the impact of strong, clear advice.”
What is your approach to financial planning?
“At my firm, we believe financial planning is about advice, first. We also believe that in today’s world, no single person can be all things to all people. This is why we specialize in helping those approaching retirement and those looking to exit their business in the next five years make a successful transition.”
What is your proudest achievement as a financial planner?
“Encouraging and helping an elderly client make a substantial early inheritance gift to her adult children. The joy she shared with me at our follow-up meeting was incredible. She was sure to share exactly how they all reacted and planned to use the early inheritance.”
What is a client success story you can share?
“I have countless stories about how potential clients come to our first strategy session. They’re scared to find out how long they will have to work to support their lifestyle, only to walk out of that meeting with clarity on what actually is possible. And, in many cases, they are already in a position to retire.”
