Judge Orders Plane Carrying Gangsters Kicked Out by Trump to Turn Around – RedState

If you’ve been feeling lately like activist judges have decided that they run the country—and not the president—you are not alone. Leftist jurists seem to be stepping in at every turn to thwart Donald Trump’s agenda and block his orders.

As RedState’s Ward Clark reported Saturday, the president invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 against the vicious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua which has been terrorizing cities across the country—and then the administration sent at least one planeload of members of the “Foreign Terrorist Organization” back to their country of origin.

It didn’t take long for Obama appointed Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg to kneecap the effort. Not only did he issue a temporary restraining order preventing the deportation of any Venezuelans, but he also ordered that the plane (or planes; it’s unclear) return the gangsters to the U.S.

The actions against the president began even before he signed the order. Mind-boggling:

Hours before the proclamation was signed, a lawsuit was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union, Democracy Forward and the ACLU of the District of Columbia, claiming it could be used to deport any Venezuelan in the country, regardless of whether they are a member of TdA.

At a hearing Saturday afternoon, Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg of the D.C. Circuit granted a temporary restraining order preventing the deportation of the five Venezuelans, who had already been in federal custody for two weeks.

Two planes that may have been en route to deport illegal immigrants were ordered returned by the judge. However, it is unclear as of Saturday night if they have done so.

The Trump administration appealed the restraining order, alleging it is improper to delay a presidential act before it is announced, affiliate FOX 32 Chicago reported.

“Any plane containing these folks that is going to take off or is in the air needs to be returned to the United States however that is accomplished,” Boasberg reportedly wrote.

I’m sorry, but this absolutely lawless order to TURN AROUND PLANES OF TERRORISTS is so insane that I’m having trouble comprehending what Boasberg is possibly thinking. Trump can not possibly agree to this.

TdA operates in conjunction with Cártel de los Soles, the Nicolás Maduro regime-sponsored narco-terrorism enterprise based in Venezuela, and commits brutal crimes, including murders, kidnappings, extortion and human, drug, and weapons trafficking, according to the White House.

The Democracy Forward leftist CEO, meanwhile, had some weird thoughts about the president’s attempt to keep our country safe (emphasis mine):

“The United States is not at war, nor has it been invaded. The president’s anticipated invocation of wartime authority — which is not needed to conduct lawful immigration enforcement operations — is the latest step in an accelerating authoritarian playbook,” Skye Perryman, president and CEO of Democracy Forward, wrote in a statement. 

“From improperly apprehending American citizens to violating the ability of communities to peacefully worship to now improperly trying to invoke a law that is responsible for some of our nation’s most shameful actions, this administration’s immigration agenda is as lawless as it is harmful.”

“Nor has it been invaded?” Has he been paying the slightest bit of attention the last four years as former President Biden allowed a tsunami of illegal immigrants to slip in through our southern border? The number is in the many millions, which certainly qualifies it as an invasion. I’m also unclear how Trump’s directive is “violating the ability of communities to peacefully worship.” How exactly were the Tren de Aragua thugs peacefully worshiping—by taking over apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado and terrorizing residents?

Activist judges have been doing everything in their power to undermine and thwart our duly elected commander-in-chief since his inauguration. It’s going to take patience and dogged persistence to overcome them—but with this administration, that’s exactly what I expect to see.
