Jurgen Klopp rates Darwin Nunez’s performance in Liverpool’s draw vs Fulham

Darwin Nunez’s performance was lauded by Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Fulham on Saturday.

Aleksandar Mitrovic goals gave Liverpool the lead twice at Craven Cottage, but goals from Nunez and Mohamed Salah meant that Klopp’s team came away from the game with a point.

Nunez, a summer acquisition from Benfica for £85 million, started his debut Premier League match on the bench but was introduced in the 51st minute to boost Liverpool’s mediocre assault.

The Uruguayan international put on a strong showing in Liverpool’s attack and had the opportunity to score multiple goals.

Nunez, according to Klopp, “needs this extra resolve in a situation like that when we don’t really find a solution in front of the goal, and the difference as well, it makes it harder for the opponent, clearly.”
