Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane was involved in a motor vehicle accident and broke his jaw.
The 29-year-old is expected to be out of action for at least three months. Amakhosi are currently in Turkey for their pre-season training however several players were not part of the travelling squad. Tebogo Potsane, Dillan Solomons, George Matlou and Mduduzi Mdantsane are the noticeable absentees.
Kaizer Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner has explained why the four players were not part of the pre-season squad.
“Tebogo’s recovery from groin surgery is progressing well and he is expected to be back in training in about two weeks,” Milner told the club’s media team.

“Dillon had shoulder surgery, so he won’t be ready for roughly another nine weeks, although he has started running and rehabilitation.
“George is only expected back in October following his knee surgery. However, I am happy to report that he is in the gym and doing some light running.
Kaizer Chiefs physio also confirmed that the midfielder(Mdantsane) suffered a broken jaw in a recent motor vehicle accident.
“He had surgery and, if all goes well, is expected back in three months’ time,” he concluded.
The 29-year-old midfielder was hardly used by Kaizer Chiefs last season making just 13 league appearances for the Soweto giants.
