Kenyans Impressed by Photo of Victor Wanyama, McDonald Mariga Helping Parents Prepare Vegetables

In Africa, there is an unwritten rule that no matter how high you rise in the society, you always remain a small child to your parents.

That is to say that the high and mighty who are boisterous and powerful always troop back to their parents with the humility of a dove.

It is for this reason that Kenyans were impressed by a photo of Victor Wanyama and his brother McDonald Mariga helping their parents prepare vegetables in the village.

The two siblings are among Kenya’s most successful footballers having played professionally for the national team Harambee Stars and abroad.

Wanyama, who is the first ever Kenyan player to score in the UEFA Champions League, has had successful stints at Celtic, Southampton, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Mariga, on the other hand, is first Kenyan footballer to play in the UEFA Champions League, and has graced clubs like Parma and Inter Milan before trying his hand at politics.
