Billiat, who is a former PSL Player of the Year, has endured a tumultuous time of ups and downs at Kaizer Chiefs ever since heading to the club in 2018 from Sundowns.
Injuries and poor form have prevented Chiefs fans from seeing the best of Billiat on a consistent basis, while his latest contract is set to come to an end in June.
If Amakhosi opt against offering him a new contract, he will be a free agent in the next transfer window, but one would expect negotiations to accelerate between the various parties over the next few weeks.

As it stands, Billiat’s representative, Godfrey Bakasa, is giving nothing away.
“Unfortunately, now I’m not at liberty to divulge anything about the Chiefs situation as I’m still in Zim [Zimbabwe],” he told FARPost. “But will do so when I’m in SA soon.”
Billiat is among the highest earners at Chiefs, and while this could be seen as an avenue for the club to cut costs, his salary package may also be making other possible suitors a bit wary.

According to the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, the 32-year-old currently pockets a salary of over R500 000 and would understandably have to take a pay cut, in all likelihood, if he joined another PSL club.
Alternatively he may have to consider what options there may be overseas, but it’s not clear if there is a viable destination on the cards.

BILLIAT IS OUT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON DUE TO INJURY
Zwane was asked about Billiat’s future at a Nedbank Cup press conference recently, but he was also giving nothing away.
“Look, everything boils down to one thing; profiling players, the plan for next season,” Zwane said. “I am not going to say who is going to be part of the team next season or who is not going to be part of the team. We don’t know as we stand, only time will tell.
“Khama is a big boy, he understands that things do happen in football. Some of the things are beyond our control. We’re just hoping that things will change for the better.
“We have been encouraging him but not only him. [Eric] Mathoho has been in a similar situation where he has been battling with injuries. [Phathutshedzo] Nange, Cole Alexander, they are going through it and they are dealing with it because the team is also offering help psychologically.”
