TOKYO — As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has the world on edge regarding the potential use of nuclear weapons, Hiroshima on Saturday marked the 77th anniversary of the atomic bomb that killed some 140,000 people in the western Japanese city.
Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, a native of the city, attended the ceremony, along with representatives of more than 100 countries and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
