Sometimes, you’ve got to back to where it all started. The same holds true for NBA players.
It’s a cliche. Like most cliches, it’s a cliche for a reason. A visit back to your beginnings will contextualize the journey you’ve taken since.
Sometimes, the players wind up back on the team they started with. Just because a team trades a player doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t welcome him back.
For example, take Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz. When the Lakers moved him, they had good reason to do so.
Now, he’s exactly the type of player they could use. The Jazz are in a rebuilding process and could benefit from capitalizing on his present value.
Could they get him back this summer?
