League Two leaders Walsall have expressed an interest in signing Crystal Palace academy versatile attacker Hindolo Mustapha on loan, the South London Press understands.
The Sierra Leone international is poised to leave Selhurst Park on his first senior loan spell this January and has impressed for Darren Powell’s U21s this season, picking up five goal contributions in 11 Premier League 2 outings.
Mustapha has been three times by his country and scored on his second appearance in their 3-2 defeat to Zambia in their African Cup of Nations qualifying clash.
The 18-year-old, who signed his first professional contract last year, can be deployed on either wing or through the middle.
Walsall are top of League Two by 12 points but just had top goalscorer Nathan Lowe recalled by parent club Stoke.
