Leah Sava Jeffries stuns at the premiere of her new movie, Beast.
The talented teen was all smiles and beauty on the carpet for the premiere which was held on August 8th at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
Also on hand for the premiere was her on-screen dad Idris Elba, with his wife Sabrina and daughter Isan, as well as as her on-screen sister for the project, Iyana Halley.
Additionally, Sharlto Copley, director Baltasar Kormakur, writer Ryan Engle and EP Jaime Primak Sullivan attended the event.
If you have yet to hear about this upcoming thriller, here’s a brief synopsis of the action according to Deadline.
In the upcoming film, Elba plays widowed husband and father, Dr. Nate Samuels, who with his two teenage daughters find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the Savannah has but one apex predator. Samuels returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins stalking them.
Yet, Beast isn’t the only thing that this diverse actress has pending. The talented young actress has Something from Tiffany’s coming to Amazon Prime this year as well. Yet, what every Percy Jackson and the Olympians fan is waiting on is Jeffries’ upcoming premiere as Annabeth in the Disney+ series.
“I’m so excited to take on the role of “ANNABETH ” Let’s go “PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS” #disneyplus #percyjacksonandtheolympians @actoraryan @walker.scobell thank you to @rickriordan,” Jeffries posted a while back on Instagram in regards to her upcoming role.
Although, there was backlash at Jeffries’ casting as the Greek Demi-goddess. Author of the “Percy Jackson” book series, Rick Riordan, couldn’t be happier at their choice.
Percy Jackson & The Olympians is in production and will hopefully hit Disney+ before we know it.
Beast will hit theaters August 19th.
