Dear Friends,
I want to share Tikima’s story. She is a determined, single mom who received one of our scholarships.
Tikima graduated last Fall. But her journey wasn’t easy — just like others who are awaiting scholarships. That’s why I’m writing you today.
Tikima has two energetic little boys. Before her scholarship, she had to make the hard choice between food and gas to get her kids to school, or continuing her education. Her family always won. Resources for school just weren’t available.
ASPSF alumna Tikima graduated with her bachelor’s degree last fall. Today, she’s working full-time at National Park College as an Admissions Specialist.
When Tikima learned about Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund, she was overjoyed. She thought maybe it was possible for her dream to come true. She could get an education, a good job, and provide for her family.
Right now we have a waiting list of people needing help to pay for their education. That’s why I’m writing this letter. Won’t you please help make another single parent’s dream come true?
Tikima graduated with an associate’s degree from National Park College in 2022. Last Fall, she received her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. Today, she’s an Admissions Specialist at National Park College.
It’s only when you give that single parents can receive help to pursue higher education.
Tikima has a career she never imagined. She credits supporters like you with opening doors and giving her the opportunity to achieve things she once thought were out of reach.
But Tikima’s story doesn’t end with her education and new career. She’s now giving back by volunteering here at Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. She’s helping other single parents achieve their dreams just like she did.
Your gift today can truly break a generational curse of unemployment or underemployment. With your gift, a single parent doesn’t have to choose among putting food on the table, paying the rent, or furthering their education.
Regardless of whether you give $100, $150, or $200, it adds up. It will help a single parent buy groceries, make a car payment, or pay for books.
Tikima is proof of what your support can do. You can change a life! And that life you change can open doors for their children to have brighter futures as well.
Education is a way out of poverty and dependence. Your gift can help make that happen.
Please consider a generous donation today at aspsf.org/give!
Thank you in advance for believing in the power of education to break the cycle of poverty and open doors to dreams.
Gratefully,
Jenn Morehead
Chief Executive Officer
Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund
P.S. Your gift will help single parents achieve their goals and dreams. Any gift you give will make a difference. Thank you for your compassionate support.
