Paris Saint-Germain are away at French champions Lille OSC on Sunday with the hosts midtable and massively off the pace in terms of a title defense. Jocelyn Gourvennec’s men are within reach of the European places but will need to improve if they are to hold on to that hope once the UEFA Champions League returns with Chelsea over two legs a tall order for LOSC. PSG have Real Madrid to worry about and Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to exploit Olympique de Marseille’s failue to capitalize on their game in hand recently.

Team news
LOSC: Leo Jardim is out injured while Jonathan David and Timothy Weah might not both start after recent international action. Hatem Ben Arfa could feature against one of his former clubs while Gabriel Gudmundsson is also an option after Reinildo’s exit.
PSG: Neymar will do gym work for the next 48 hours before a partial return to squad training. Sergio Ramos will work away from the pitch and resume running next week. Georginio Wijnaldum will rejoin the squad next week if cleared by PSG medical staff. Mauro Icardi has pain in his left foot and will be checked again early next week. Keylor Navas is doing post-international gym work.
Storylines
LOSC: It has been a far from ideal title defense for Lille so far and that will not get any easier against PSG. However, they are not far off the European places and their UCL showing has already guaranteed a healthy financial return.
PSG: So much is riding on Real that this clash with the champions in title is not as big as it would usually be. LOSC’s quality should give Les Parisiens the sort of workout that they need pre-Europe, but Les Dogues are not the force they were under Christophe Galtier.
Prediction
A tight one with PSG sneaking a win. Kylian Mbappe should be fit enough to start and could hold the key as is often the case in these sorts of games. Pick: LOSC 1-2 PSG.
