The NT lockout ends today, except for the vulnerable Yuendumu and Yuelamu communities.

In place of the lockout, Territorians will need a vaccine pass on a smartphone to enter venues.

“You don’t need anything else to show the green tick when you enter a venue and you’re good as gold,” Chief Minister Michael Gunner said.

“Despite all our efforts over many, many months, Yuendumu continues to be a low vaccination community,” Mr Gunner said, explaining the continuing restrictions.

Chief Health Officer Dr Hugh Heggie said there was “significant under-vaccination rates” in both Yuendumu and Yuelamu.
