It looks like some Londoners are in for a soggy weekend.
The most recent weather forecast suggests some residents should be rethinking any outdoor plans.
The Met Office forecast for London predicts ‘heavy rain changing to partly cloudy by early evening’. Some areas will be hit harder than others with heavy rainfall until late this afternoon.
It’s not looking good for Dagenham, Orpington and Westminster in particular.

According to the Met Office, the worst rain fell this morning, but the wet weather isn’t over just yet.
The forecast states: “Cloud and rain, locally heavy, moving eastwards across all parts during the day.
“Windy and locally gusty at times. Rain clearing south eastwards by evening, with drier and clearer spells following, and perhaps a few light showers.”
Croydon will see a 95 per cent chance of rainfall until 4pm with winds making the situation worse.
It’s a similar outlook for Dagenham which has a 90 per cent chance of rain until 5pm tonight.
Orpington will also see rain until 5pm with high winds creating issues for some residents.
Moving into tonight, the rain and cloud will be clearing to make way for patchy frost and lows of a frosty 1 °C.
Tomorrow (Sunday, January 8) should be brighter for most Londoners.
