A West Aussie was one of four lucky punters to win a quarter of the massive $80 million jackpot from Thursday night’s Lotto draw.
The mammoth total was the second highest for 2025 and the lucky division one winners each take home $20 million from the windfall. The other winning tickets were sold in Victoria and Queensland.
The life changing numbers from draw #1529 were 9, 22, 23, 3, 13, 28, 32 and the all important Powerball was 5.
The last time an $80 million Powerball jackpot was up for grabs was back in May 2022.
Division two saw 43 punters each take home $29,746.25 but just one of them was from WA.
While division three brought a bit more luck out West, with 20 sandgropers amongst the 150 winners that each won a very handy $10,601.45.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said this is the second Division One Powerball win for WA this year, following a trio of friends who took home $30 million in April.
“What an incredible year for WA Powerball players,” she said.
“Tonight’s win is a life-changing moment that somebody, or a group of people in WA are about to experience. We cannot wait to meet the ticketholder and welcome them into Lotterywest’s winner’s room.
“Our advice for any West Aussies with a Powerball ticket is to check your numbers as soon as possible.”
