Police have arrested 12 Insulate Britain protestors as they attempted to rush onto the M25.
The environmental activists tried to storm the busy motorway at 8.30am this morning (Tuesday, November 2) at the junction 23 slip road for South Mimms.
One lane of the motorway remains closed as it widens onto the roundabout, with congestion tailing back to junction 24 for Potters Bar.
Protestors are now sat by the side of the road.
One campaigner said: “We didn’t manage to make it onto the road… we’re now just sat here on the side of the road.”
