A 58-year-old man is sought for a break-and-enter and assault at an apartment in the city’s the east end on Wednesday.

Toronto Police say officers responded to a break-and-enter call near Broadview and Danforth Aves. around 9:30 a.m.

A man entered a residential apartment and allegedly assaulted the occupant when the person tried to leave, police said Thursday.
The assailant then fled the scene.
Cops believe the two people involved are known to each other.

Investigators subsequently identified a suspect.
William John De Beaulieu, of Toronto, is wanted for break-and-enter with intent, forcible confinement, assault, assault with a weapon, four counts of fail to comply with undertaking, and two counts of fail to comply with release order.
He is described as 5-foot-10 with a medium build and short, greying hair.
Police have released his photo hoping members of the public can help track him down.
