Fieldays has confirmed MediaWorks as its official media partner for the 2026 event, taking place June 10 to 13 at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton.
With Fieldays entering its 58th year and MediaWorks’ legacy stretching back to 1989, this partnership brings together two trusted brands with a shared ambition: to connect rural, regional, urban and business audiences at scale, and to spotlight the innovation shaping the future of Aotearoa’s primary industries.
This partnership will be active across radio, digital, streaming and outdoor platforms.
MediaWorks will showcase radio brands — including The Rock, George FM, The REX Daily Podcast, More FM, Mai FM, Channel X, The Edge, rova and The Sound — through appearances, on-site engagement, experiences and giveaways celebrating the rural sector.
Connecting people, ideas and opportunity
“This partnership supports our long-term focus on connecting people, ideas and opportunity,” says New Zealand National Fieldays Society chief executive Richard Lindroos.
“MediaWorks’ reach will help extend the Fieldays story beyond the event, while strengthening the value delivered to exhibitors and visitors.”
The event has more than 1,100 exhibitor sites secured and expects visitor numbers to be on par with 2025.
Benefits of the partnership
Fieldays and MediaWorks say exhibitors will benefit from heightened visibility and richer storytelling across Mediaworks’ extensive network. From pre-event build-up to live on-site coverage and post-event content, this is the place for exhibitors to build anticipation before gates open and extend the life and return of their Fieldays investment.
For visitors, Fieldays will feel bigger, more alive and more connected throughout the stable of MediaWorks brands. Expect more competitions, giveaways, live broadcasts and real-time coverage – all adding to the buzz and making it easier to engage with what’s happening on site and beyond.
“Fieldays is an iconic event that celebrates the innovation, resilience and spirit of regional New Zealand. We’re proud to come on board as media partner and leverage our extensive regional reach through locally focused radio stations to support the continued growth of New Zealand’s primary sector,” says MediaWorks CEO Wendy Palmer.
Mediaworks head of rural Nick Fisher adds: “Rural New Zealand is the beating heart of our country, and as a company deeply connected to local communities through our locally produced radio shows, we’re thrilled to partner with Fieldays to help connect audiences and clients with this prestigious event.”
