Even though the Mega Millions lottery drawing on Friday night did not yield any winners for the $480 million jackpot, there was one instant millionaire that resulted from the night.
The winning numbers pulled on Friday, July 15, were 8, 20, 26, 53, 64, with a gold Mega Ball of 15. The Megaplier was 5X.

The unclaimed jackpot on Friday night was worth an estimated $480 million with a cash option of $276 million. The Mega Millions jackpot has now grown to an estimated $530 million with a cash value of $304.7 million.
The next Mega Millions lottery drawing will be held on Tuesday, July 19, at 11 p.m. ET.
On Friday, a player from California took home $1 million after matching five numbers. If the ticket holder would have hit the Match 5 with the 5X Megaplier, it would have resulted in a $5 million prize.
There were 28 players who hit the Match 4 plus gold Mega Ball that won $10,000 each. Meanwhile, six of those players matched four numbers plus the gold Mega Ball with the 5X Megaplier, winning $50,000 apiece.
The rest of the prizes from the night ranged between $2 and $2,500. A total of 1,423,423 winning tickets were sold at all prize levels in the Friday night drawing.
The jackpot was last won on April 15, when a player from Tennessee walked away with $20 million. If the $530 million prize is won on July 19, it will become the eighth largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.
Jackpot winners can receive their grand prize winnings through a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity. Those who select the annuity receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
Mega Millions can be played in 45 states, as well as the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
