Eleven pieces of the “21 Hearts for Uvalde” display, which was scheduled to be presented July 30, during a community event at the Uvalde County Fairplex.
Twenty-one Hearts for Uvalde, commemorative artwork created for permanent display at the Uvalde Resiliency Center, was to be unveiled July 30 during the Uvalde Strong community event staged at the Uvalde County Arena at the Fairplex.
It was conceived by Cindy Johnson and created by artists across the United States, Mexico and Canada, under the creative direction of Jennifer Vranes. Texas resident and “21 Hearts for Uvalde” artist and project manager Cheryl Turner was to be in attendance.
Turner designed and built the unique school-fence concept that holds the 21 hearts.
