Two men found dead in a burned-out car in Sweden were British nationals, officials say.
Juan Cifuentes and Farooq Abdulrazak were reported missing in July after failing to return home from a business trip to Denmark and Sweden.
Swedish prosecutors say they have now identified remains as belonging to the two men.
Prosecutor Magnus Petterson told Sky News that a “large murder investigation” remains in place as well as a public appeal for information related to the case.
“We are trying to figure out exactly what happened on the spot, why the British citizens were in Malmo and what happened after,” he said.

“We are looking at a very large amount of digital evidence and analysing it. Evidence from mobile phones, surrounding cameras, all the things we use as humans to communicate.”
The car was found in Malmo, with Swedish media reporting that at least one of the victims was shot before the vehicle was set on fire.
No one has been arrested over the deaths.

According to reports at the time, the Britons had rented a Toyota Rav 4 at Copenhagen Airport before it was found as a burned-out shell at around 2pm local time on 14 July.
Images from the scene showed forensic investigators examining what was left of the car and police tape securing off the area.
