LONDON — Liz Truss has appointed Michelle Donelan as her new culture secretary, Downing Street confirmed Tuesday.
The former universities minister, who was very briefly education secretary in July, will take charge at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, which oversees tech and digital policy.
Johnson loyalist Nadine Dorries, a strong champion of the U.K.’s content regulation legislation, resigned from the role earlier on Tuesday. She said Truss has offered her the chance to stay on in the role.
