Mokwena and Mngqithi’s Sundowns salaries leaked
According to local publication KickOff, Rulani Mokwena was earning R600 000 per month as head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns last season.
His assistant at the time, Manqoba Mngqithi was pocketing a healthy R440 000 per month last season.
The publication further claimed Mngqithi’s salary has taken a big increase after he was named as the club’s new head coach at the beginning of the season following Mokwena’s departure to Wydad Athletic Club.
In other related transfer news, Mamelodi Sundowns are set to send another midfielder out on loan.
The Brazilians have a host of quality players competing for each position, making game-time a serious issue at Chloorkop.
Mamelodi Sundowns have no less than 10 players out on loan currently, and now, new reports suggest winger Lesiba Nku could soon be joining that list!
Nku joined the club last season and proved to be a surprise key player for former coach Rulani Mokwena, scoring five goals and earning one assist for the club.
Downs to send another first team player out on loan
Mamelodi Sundowns are set to send 28-year-old winger Lesiba Nku out on loan in the January transfer window.
Nku has recovered injury however he’s struggling to break into the club’s match-day squad due to stiff competition. He’s yet to feature for the club so far this season.
Sundowns already have the likes of Thapelo Morena, Lebogang Maboe, Kobamelo Kodisang and Kutlwano Letlhaku in their ranks.
According to Soccer Laduma, the club have decided that a loan move is the best option for Nku to get some much needed game-time.
Nku is set to be joined by fellow Mamelodi Sundowns defender Zuko Mdunyelwa who’s also heading for the exit door at Chloorkop.
