Wilfred Ndidi has injured his ankle again a few days after returning to full fitness.
The Super Eagles midfielder who recently returned to full fitness had been out since March.
And it has been confirmed that he is injured yet again as Leicester City continue their preparation for the new season.
“We’ve got one or two knocks,” Rodgers told LCFC TV ahead of their Saturday friendly match against Leuven.
“Wilf’s twisted his ankle in training a few days ago. We don’t think it’s too serious.
“It’s a high ankle sprain, so he had a scan on it and it’ll hopefully be okay.
“We’ve just looked after him really, he won’t be involved at the weekend, but of course, hopefully, next week at some point he’ll be back training.”
The injury ruled Wilfred Ndidi out of Leicester City’s 3-3 draw against Leuven on Saturday but Kelechi Iheanacho was heavily involved in the game.
