New York: New York City Mayor Eric Adams hoisted the flag of Nepal on the occasion of Nepal’s Constitution Day at the historic Bowling Green along with leaders and representatives of the Nepali-American community.
The Mayor was welcomed and felicitated by Khagendra GC and other community leaders.
Mayor Eric Adams, along with community leadership, unfurled both the American and Nepali flags at the ceremony.
The Mayor congratulated the Nepalese community on National Day while the community leaders expressed special thanks to Mayor Adams for unfurling the Nepalese flag at a historic American site like Bowling Green.
Addressing the flag-hoisting ceremony, Mayor Eric Adams congratulated the Nepali community on Constitution Day and praised and paid tribute to the community’s services.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, New York State Assemblywoman Jennifer Rajkumar, Commissioner of Immigrant Affairs Manuel Castro, Nepali American Lawyer Khagendra GC, and a large number of Nepali American community attended the event.
Note that 20 September is celebrated as Constitution Day in Nepal. The Constitution of Nepal was enacted on 20 September 2015 by the Constituent Assembly.
