TL;DR
- Pricing for the upcoming Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds may have leaked.
- You could be looking at a $229.99 price tag, making it $30 more expensive than the original Pro buds.
Samsung first offered Pro-level true wireless earbuds early last year with the Galaxy Buds Pro, but we’re finally expecting a follow-up to launch alongside its foldables next month.
Now, 9to5Google has claimed that the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will cost $229.99, citing a retail source. This is $30 more than the Galaxy Buds Pro’s original launch price back in January 2021, although it would still be $20 cheaper than Apple’s AirPods Pro was at launch.
The website was also able to confirm that 24-bit audio support was coming to the new Samsung earbuds. There’s no word on other features though, but we’d expect longer battery life, improved active noise cancellation, and the return of 360-degree audio. We’re also hopeful that Google’s recently announced smart audio switching tech will make an appearance, making for a more seamless experience with two devices.
Samsung will have no shortage of competitors when it launches the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro on August 10, as devices like the Pixel Buds Pro, AirPods Pro, and Samsung’s earlier products all vie for your wallet. Nevertheless, you can take a look at our sister website SoundGuys for a rundown of the best noise-cancelling wireless earbuds if you’re in the market for them.
