The RCMP ended a dangerous person alert early Wednesday morning, saying an armed suspect they were looking for in Lower Clarks Harbour, N.S., was in custody. No one was injured.
Police originally told people in the Lower Clarks Harbour area to shelter in place after a report that gunshots were fired.
Police sent out the first alert at 8:42 p.m. AT Tuesday, but ended it at 12:28 a.m. Wednesday after the suspect was taken into custody.
The RCMP said the suspect was a 52-year-old man from Lower Clarks Harbour.
