NPP Primaries: Adentan Chairman, others denounce fake quotes attributed to them by Alan
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Adentan Constituency, Koku Acolatse, is seething with rage over comments he vehemently denies as having been made by him.
The comments have been attributed to him by Alan Kyerematen, one of the NPP flagbearer hopefuls.
The former Trade Minister posted on his official Twitter handle an artwork which contained quotes attributed to NPP’s Adentan Constituency Chairman, as having endorsed him.
“I have started calling him His Excellency already. He has worked hard and selflessly for the party. We will not disappoint him. I commend him for the innovation to bring us together. He is our incoming President. God bless Alan,” the contentious artwork quoted the Adentan Chairman as saying.
But Mr. Acolatse, who was present at Alan’s cluster durbar for four constituencies including the Adentan Constituency on Wednesday, July 5 has expressed disappointment in the Alan Campaign for concocting a quote for him to mislead the public.
The Constituency Chairman has angrily denounced the “fake” quotes on various NPP WhatsApp platforms, and his aides have embossed fake stamps on screenshots of Alan Kyerematen’s Twitter post.
The fake embossment has gone viral on several NPP platforms, raising doubts on the credibility of the Twitter post.
Aides to the Adenta NPP Chairman who vehemently deny the quote attributed to the Chairman, have even dared Alan Kyerematen to produce video evidence to buttress the emphatic quotes attributed to Mr Acolatse.
Meanwhile, other Chairmen who were also quoted in artworks posted by Alan as having endorsed Alan’s candidacy, have similarly denied making such quotes on several NPP platforms.
