Daichi Kamada made his Crystal Palace debut in their 2-1 defeat at Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
The Japanese international started as one of the attacking midfielders alongside Eberechi Eze.
Kamada, who won the Europa League with Glasner during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, signed a two-year deal with the Eagles this summer after leaving Lazio.
The 27-year-old was taken off in the 70th minute for Jordan Ayew.
Glasner said: “For Daichi, it was like everyone.
“The performance was okay today. The performance was okay in many parts, but it was not on our top level.
“He was very good with many things, such as being in the pockets to collect passes. But in a three-against-two situation, a better ball to JP and he has a finish.
“And then we don’t need the whistle of a referee for a penalty. It was okay.”
