New York: Journalists from the Pakistani community organized a farewell party in honor of the outgoing Pakistan’s Consul General (CG) in New York Ayisha Ali, who has now been appointed by the government as Ambassador to Portugal.
Senior journalist Muhammad Asif organized the farewell party in her honor at a local restaurant.
Pakistan’s famous poet Wasi Shah who came to America from Pakistan also participated in the event, and spoke to the participants, and appreciated the role of Ayisha as CG NYC.
The outgoing Consul General and journalists discussed politics and economy and presented their own point of view.
On this occasion, Pakistani community journalists said that Consul General Ayesha Ali has the honor that she understood the importance of social media and presented the case of Kashmir in every forum in a very good way.
Journalists also expressed their views with good wishes to Consul General Ayesha Ali for her new appointment and responsibilities.
They said that Ayesha Ali will always be remembered for the ease with which the community dealt with the problems related to Passport and Visa.
Consul General Ayesha Ali highlighted the roles and services of journalists. She said that in any society, journalists have an important role in providing information, political awareness and identifying the positive and negative changes in every sector, which cannot be forgotten.
