Patrick Beverley had no regard for his former teammate Anthony Davis when talking about Luka Doncic’s brilliant performance.
Luka Doncic made his grand, emotional return to the Dallas Mavericks this week. The Los Angeles Lakers guard put up an incredible performance against his former team.
Doncic had a 45-point performance that garnered a standing ovation from the Mavericks fans. While Luka Doncic was in tears at the start of the game, he was all smiles by the end.
Doncic pleaded with Mavericks fans to move on after the game. But Anthony Davis will struggle to do so, as his dismal 13-point performance will stay with him.
LeBron James admitted he was uncomfortable with his relationship with Anthony Davis. But perhaps Davis’ relationship with another teammate is even worse, given what they said about him.

Pat Bev: Luka Doncic is a Ferrari
Patrick Beverley was a guest on Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson’s ‘Night Cap.’ When talking about the Luka Doncic trade, Beverley had less than kind things to say about his former teammate Anthony Davis.
Beverley compared Luka Doncic to a Ferrari and described Anthony Davis as a bag of potatoes and damaged goods. Clearly, Beverley doesn’t think highly of his former teammate.
“Ring, ring. What’s up? I’m good. Check it out, I got something for you. I give you a Ferrari, you give me back a bag of potatoes…”
“Matter of fact, I ain’t gonna lie to you, a bag of potatoes with a hole in the bottom because you’re giving me damaged goods!”
“I got my goods, I can’t even eat my goods, play my goods, or cook my goods. My goods ain’t available. But I see you in LA, you’re driving a Ferrari…”

Anthony Davis is still a superstar
While he isn’t at the same level as Luka Doncic, there is no denying that Anthony Davis is a star player in the NBA.
Don’t let his disastrous performance against the Lakers convince you otherwise – Davis is a one-of-one NBA talent who can shine on any given night.
Anthony Davis wants to prove the doubters wrong and Nico Harrison right. However, the GM might need more to redeem himself.
Kendrick Perkins thinks Nico Harrison has no choice but to trade for Kevin Durant. We’ll see what kind of team the Mavericks build in the summer.
