One person has died in a house fire in Levin in Horowhenua.
Emergency services were called to a blaze on Queenwood Rd in Levin, about 8am on Wednesday.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson said firefighters were at the scene of a house fire and one person had died.
Fire crews from Levin, Waitārere Beach and Ōtaki attended the fire and it had been extinguished by 9am.

The spokesperson declined to comment about the cause of the fire or give any other information.
Police have blocked off a section of Queenwood Rd.
There are three police cars, a fire truck and another emergency services vehicle are there.
A blue gazebo tent has been set up and a number of personnel are at the scene.
A police spokesperson said the house was well ablaze when emergency services arrived.
